Calero Reservoir County Park Day Hiking

Mr.N, Ms.H and I went day hiking in Calero Reservoir Country Park in April. We saw sooooo many pretty wild flowers.

Calero Park is in the South Bay, California. It is actually in the city of San Jose. It was relatively close where I lived, but I had never been there. I didn't know that Calero park is such a lovely place. 

Please look at these colorful flowers (pictures below).

It is really a joy to hike around these wild flowers in the spring. Mr.N's aunt Ms.H used to live in San Jose, so three of us would hike once a month in the Bay Area. We never ran out of places to hike. 

Usually we would go to Ms.H's house, then go hiking. Usually Ms.H's husband Mr.A made us sandwich, which is delicious,  although he doesn't come with us. Then after hiking we stop by Ms.H's house and ate dinner made by Mr.A.  There is a cat, Ms.S, at Ms.H and Mr.A's house. Ms.S is scared of humans, including Mr.A, so I couldn't pet her, but it was nice to see Ms.S. 

Now I am in New England and also Mr.H and Mr.A moved out from South Bay, but our hikes are so memorable and unforgettable.

At Calero, not only wild flower, we also saw pretty green hills.  

Lastly, we found cute deer focused on eating. When we hike with Ms.H, we often see cute animals. 

Ms.H has seen fox babies, sat close with the same specific bobcat for 20 minute, twice. Ms.H must have something secret communicating way with animals.

It was a fun hike day. 

カリフォルニア在住中は月に一回MsH（MrNの伯母）を誘ってローカルのハイキングに出かけた。毎回MsHの旦那さんが料理が趣味で美味しいサンドイッチを３人に作ってくれる。旦那さんはインドア派なのでハイキングには来ないのだが、ハイキング後にはまたまたディナーを作ってくれているのだ。ありがたやー。そしてもう一つ、MsHの家での楽しみは猫！サフィーという名前の猫がいる。この猫は、人間恐怖症なところがある。MsHにだけは心を開いているがMsHの旦那さんには全く近寄らない。どうやら前のオーナーにひどい仕打ちを受け心の傷を負っているらしい。それでもサフィーは可愛い！

この月（４月）はサンノゼ市の南にあるカレロパークへハイキングへ出かけた。サウスベイで私のアパートからもそれほど遠くはないのにこの日初めてカレロパークでハイキングしたのだった。この公園、こんなに綺麗だったとは！知らなかった。

とにかくたーっくさんのカラフルで可愛い花が咲いている。最初の７枚の写真が色々な花。紫、オレンジ、黄色、ピンク。。。カリフォルニアポピーは今見るとやはり懐かしい。東海岸にはカリフォルニアポピーは全くない。やっぱりあのオレンジがカリフォルニアの陽気さを表しているなと感じる。

夕方、ハイキングの終わりかけに鹿を見かけた。早めの夕ご飯かおやつか。ムシャムシャと葉っぱを食べているのがかわいかった。

MsHもベイエリアから引っ越し我々はニューイングランド、と毎月恒例のハイキングはしていないが。。。また一緒にハイクしたい。
